Civil Discourse
This session introduces students to the concept of civil discourse: respectful, thoughtful conversation aimed at building understanding. Through guided discussion and collaborative thinking, students explore how to navigate disagreements constructively. Students learn how to engage in meaningful conversations, even when perspectives differ.
Freedom of Speech
This session allows students to explore the importance of the First Amendment and how freedom of speech applies in school settings. Through discussion and scenario-based analysis, they consider where the line is drawn between protected expression and disruption, and how that balance impacts civic life.
